Devotees celebrate this day as their wedding anniversary. Every year in the month of Margashirsha, the festival of marriage Panchami is celebrated on the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha. This year the festival of Vivah Panchami is on 17 December 2023.

It is said that on this day, the marriage of the king of Ayodhya Sri Rama and Janak Dulari Mata Sita was celebrated, therefore the festival of Vivah Panchami is celebrated as the anniversary of the marriage of Lord Ram and Mata Sita. Regarding marriage Panchami, astrologer Pandit Manoj Shukla said that the Panchami tithi of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsh is celebrated as the marriage festival of Shri Ram Jana. Significance of Vivah Panchami
